The Visegrad Group welcomes Azerbaijan’s intention to continue visa liberalization dialogue with the European Union and expects further steps in that direction, read a final statement made at the meeting of foreign ministers of the Visegrad (V4) Group and Eastern Partnership countries.

The V4 ministers also expressed support to Armenia for visa liberalization dialogue with the EU, welcomed granting the visa-regime to Georgian citizens and expressed hope that Ukrainian citizens will enjoy visa-free travel to the EU as soon as possible.

They also called for further progress in the ongoing process of negotiations with Azerbaijan.

The V4 ministers reaffirmed their support to the Eastern Partnership as a strategic dimension of the European Neighborhood Policy and a key and active factor of stability and economic progress in Eastern Europe.

They agreed that the declaration to be adopted at the Eastern Partnership summit in November this year should reflect different aspirations of partner countries and offer a perspective for the interested partners, as well as set out an ambitious agenda for the Eastern Partnership in the longer perspective.
