New rules for admission of students to higher, secondary special and vocational educational institutions will develop in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The plan of admission of students to higher, secondary special and vocational educational institutions abolished.
This is reflected in the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, dated December 21, 2016, on amendments to the law "On education" of September 5, 2009.
Until now, the definition of the plan of students’ admission to the schools was the responsibility of the Education Commission under the President of Azerbaijan Republic (higher, secondary special educational institutions) and the Cabinet of Ministers (vocational education). According to the presidential decree of December 21, these powers above structure eliminated.
Another change connected with the powers of the liquidated State Commission for Student Admission of students with respect to the reception of the plan. The authority to determine the rules of admission to universities provided no new state examination center, and the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers was commissioned within a month to determine the rules for admission of students to higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, to determine the accounting achievements of applicants they received in the previous level of education, while taking in the higher and secondary special educational institutions, determine the rules for admission of bachelors and other persons with higher education in the magistracy of higher educational institutions, to inform the President of Azerbaijan, as well as to solve other issues arising from the decree.
