Over 2,400 houses, non-residential premises demolished in “Sovetski”
To date, more than 2,400 houses and non-residential premises have been demolished in former "Sovetski” area in Baku's Yasamal district in accordance with the order issued by the Baku Mayor’s Office on 12 Dec. 2013, Abid Sharifov, Deputy Prime Minister, told reporters on Thursday.  
 
According to him, about 200 families living in houses with less than 25 square meters have been provided with apartments with the area up to 45 square meters in Baku’s Narimanov district.
 
The deputy PM noted that roads, greenery and parks will be constructed in the area of the demolished houses in Sovetski. "No new residential buildings will be built in that area,” he added.
