Interfaith dialogue, multiculturalism – only way to address global challenges

According to him, 30 countries around the world suffer from national and ethnic conflicts which resulted in the death of nearly 2.5 million people and expulsion of about 50 million people from their homes over the last 15 years.
He mentioned that about one million Azerbaijanis were driven out of their native lands as a result of the action unleashed by Armenia against Azerbaijan.
Gurbali further said that the State Committee held a meeting with the students of the Winter School of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center.
The meeting was attended by representatives, students and scientific figures from various countries, he said.
"I’m glad that the participants had an opportunity to get enough information about Azerbaijan. I would like to thank the personnel of the Multiculturalism Center that they have created such a school,” Gurbanli added, noting that there is no alternative for multiculturalism around the world.
