France’s position is clear, the country does not recognize Nagorno-Karabakh, said the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The French Embassy in Baku informed APA of the aforesaid.
The French government doesn’t have to observe the "charter” signed by the country’s Alfortville municipality, the ministry said.
A few days ago, a "friendship charter” was signed between the Altforville municipality and the separatist regime created in Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region occupied by Armenia. The document was signed during the visit to France of the head of the separatist Nagorno-Karabakh regime Bako Sahakyan.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry summoned France’s ambassador over the separatist head’s illegal visit to France.
