The magazine covers detailed information on Azerbaijan's tourism potential, sights, specialized places in various types of tourism, annual festivals, national holidays, traditions, national cuisine.
The magazine, published by local and international professionals, is distributed throughout the embassies of Azerbaijan, international exhibitions and fairs, as well as hotels operating in our country.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony of the Experience Azerbaijan magazine, CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board Florian Sengstschmid said that the magazine provides detailed information about Azerbaijan to foreigners and that such publications have an important role as promotion methods. "This kind of promotion is one of the key marketing elements in tourism,” he said. Sengstschmid noted that in the first quarter of this year Azerbaijan's tourism offices will open in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, South Korea and Japan. "We plan to attract tourists from the UK in 2020. A major tourism forum will be held in Spain this year. This forum will be beneficial in terms of attracting tourists from Southern Europe. We also plan to attend the exhibition in Paris later this year,” he said. The CEO noted that the magazine has been published with the participation of international editors. "The photographs in the magazine are the work of Azerbaijani photographers. The content of the magazine is very interesting. At the same time, it also includes necessary recommendations,” he said. Sengstschmid noted that the new tourism portal of the Tourism Agency will also launch next month. He also touched on the results of last year and noted that Azerbaijan achieved record results in the tourism sector in 2019. "3.2 million tourists visited Azerbaijan last year. The growth in tourism was 11.4%. Growth was particularly high in comparison with European countries and low in comparison with the Asian market. This means that we have to identify new directions in our marketing strategy. We must understand that tourists need more reliable commercial structures,” he said. According to Sengstschmid, in 2020, tourism is expected to grow by about 10%. The CEO also spoke on visa issues noting that ATB will try to facilitate visa procedures for more foreigners. 
Tom Marsden, the editor of Experience Azerbaijan magazine, expressed confidence that the magazine would be an important tool for tourists traveling to Azerbaijan. "When I came to Azerbaijan six years ago, I was only aware of this country’s oil and gas resources. During my time here, I saw that Azerbaijan has a rich culture, history, and traditions. I believe that readers will like this magazine, which includes all these values. Our main goal is to uphold these standards," he said. The editor of the magazine also added that they tried to convey information about the location and culture of Azerbaijan through the outlook of Azerbaijani people. "One of our goals is to inspire people to come to Azerbaijan. To do this, we have highlighted places of interest in Azerbaijan. We also tried to discover the incredible diversity of the country. We want the magazine to be a guide for those coming to Azerbaijan. Therefore, there are many recommendations for tourists. We believe that this magazine will be a tool for travelers to get acquainted with Azerbaijan,” he said.
