A bill considering the right on the definition of the possibility of execution by Azerbaijan of decisions passed by international organizations on human rights and freedoms, which was postponed for two years, will be discussed at the spring session of the Parliament (Milli Majlis).
The bill "On the possibility of the implementation by the Republic of Azerbaijan of the decision of the interstate body for the protection of human rights and freedoms” is included in the work plan of the Parliament’s spring session.
Azerbaijan is a member of the UN, OSCE, European Council, European Court on Human Rights and other international organizations on protection of human rights and freedoms.
Although the bill was first debated and approved at the meeting of the Committee on legal policy and state building on March 17, 2016, it was stated that the bill could be recommended to the Plenary Session after being agreed by 63 MPs under the legislative principles.
The discussion of the bill was postponed since then.
